# Templates and Scales

Templates and scales let you customize how reviews and feedback are structured.

## Review templates

Admins can configure:

* Review sections (accomplishments, growth areas, goals)
* Required vs. optional fields
* Questions asked in self-reviews and peer feedback

## Rating scales

**Common scales:**

* 1-5 rating (Needs Improvement to Exceeds Expectations)
* 1-3 rating (Below, Meets, Exceeds)
* Custom descriptive scales

## Feedback forms

Configure:

* Feedback categories (execution, collaboration, leadership, etc.)
* Required fields
* Visibility defaults

## Best practices

* Keep review templates concise
* Use rating scales consistently across cycles
