# Top Collaborators

> How Work History identifies the people you work with most often

# Top Collaborators

Top Collaborators shows the people you meet with most frequently during a Work History period, ranked by how often you interacted.

## How collaborators are counted

Top Collaborators is calculated from your **meetings** during the period. Each meeting contributes to your collaborator counts differently depending on whether a transcript is available.

### Meetings with a transcript

When a meeting has a transcript, counts are based on who actually participated in the conversation:

* **You must appear in the transcript.** If you didn't speak during the meeting, it isn't included in your collaborator counts.
* **Only speakers who were invited and accepted the meeting are counted.** Someone who spoke but wasn't an invitee (or hadn't accepted) does not count, and an invitee who didn't speak also does not count.
* Each qualifying speaker gets +1 for that meeting.

<Info>
  Only people who **spoke** in the transcript **and** were invitees with accepted status are counted.
</Info>

### Meetings without a transcript

When there's no transcript available, the full meeting attendance is used:

* Every participant in the meeting (other than you) gets +1.

## What this means in practice

* Recurring 1:1s and team meetings with active discussion tend to rise to the top.
* Large meetings where you didn't speak (and a transcript exists) won't inflate your counts.
* Meetings you were invited to but didn't attend don't count.

Collaborators are ranked by their total count across the period, and the highest are shown in your Work History summary.
